They say that important events in life happen when you are ready for them. What is a beginning, and where does the end lie? Who sets the borders on the planet we inhabit? What about the confines within us? Where does our world begin and end? Antarctica is the last pristine continent on Earth, the last place where nature has managed to survive the way it was before us. What does this still mystical and extremely cold place look like? What secrets does it hold? Why is it of such importance for the future of humanity? The writer Ludmila Filipova departs on a distant, filled with hardships and deprivations journey to find the answers to these and many other questions. Her aim is to get acquainted with the continent’s secrets and share them with us. This is a journey to one’s self and the understanding of what does it mean to be human. It is a way of discovering one’s unsuspected strength and abilities. | За последен път Людмила Филипова се срещна с читатели и представи най-новия си роман „Смисълът“ преди заминаването си на двумесечна експедиция до Антарктида. На 23 януари 2018 г. писателката беше гост на 23-то издание на Клуб „Писмена“ на Националната библиотека „Св. св. Кирил и Методий“ по покана на директора доц. Красимира Александрова. Само два месеца след излизането си книгата се превърна в бестселър и беше преиздавана няколко пъти. | |

| Людмила Филипова в търсене на „Смисълът“ |
 Людмила Филипова представи за първи път новата си книга.
Премиерата на „Смисълът“ от издателство „Ентусиаст“ се състоя на 29 ноември от
19:00 часа в Зала 42 на НДК, София. Романът е амбициозен нов прочит на въпроса,
на който човечеството се опитва да отговори от зората на своето съществуване –
какъв е смисълът да ни има.
Книгата бе представена от управителя на издателство
„Ентусиаст“ Виктория Бисерова и от д-р Соломон Паси. Водещ на събитието беше
журналистът Михаил Дюзев. В своеобразни ·Посланици на Смисъла се превърнаха
седемнайсет от най-популярните и значими лица в културния, научния и
обществения живот на страната ни: Ана Пападопулу, актриса; Богдан Томов, певец;

Ludmila Filipova is the author of the novels Anatomy of Illusions (2006), Scarlet Gold (2007), Glass Butterflies (2008), The Parchment Maze (2009), Dante’s Antichthon (2010), The Anomaly (2011), Typo (2012), The Eye Of The Sky (2013), The War of the Letters (2014) and A Journey to the World's End (2015), which have become nationwide bestsellers and have been translated into several languages. Three of her novels are currently being developed into feature films. Currently, she is studying a master degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics in the Physical Faculty of Sofia University “Kliment Ohridski”. She attended in three Bulgarian Antarctic Expeditions. She is a member of the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute and APECS. In 2015 she created a digital time capsule with thousand messages from the whole world for the future people and installed it at the South Pole.
